SGC : Our Story
A unique marriage of nature and endeavour
"It gives me great pleasure to introduce SGC and Le Cercle SGC, the conclusion of ten years of dedication, secrecy and the utmost patience in the pursuit of excellence. I had a feeling there would be terroir in Bordeaux which had the potential to yield wine of the best quality; terroir which had remained unidentified at the time of the 1855 classification. With only 61 Châteaux ranked in 1855 and some 12,000 labels today, it was simply inevitable that there were some producers unwittingly sitting on gold dust. After a long hunt for these top soils, I am pleased to present 3 different appellations: Pomerol, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and Médoc. Due to the specificity of the processes involved and the quantities of wine the terroir is able to yield, SGC's vintages are a very small production averaging 15,000 bottles.
The wish to keep our limited production amongst oenophiles and collectors has inspired a closed purchasing system of allocation via invitation only.
For this reason we created Le Cercle SGC which is a exclusive group of people who are carefully selected for their shared passion for exquisite wines and their spirit. This group is eligible to purchase tickets for our exclusive wine dinners around the world.
Names on this list secure allocations for future vintages as long as they purchase every produced vintage. There is no commitment to purchase each year but the priority of allocations goes to those who buy consecutively.
As of today SGC Gold is on waiting list and remain by invitation only once you have applied.
I am truly delighted to invite you to discover the SGC world and would be honoured to have the pleasure of your company on this incredible journey in the pursuit of excellence and pleasure."
I take this opportunity to thank our collectors all over the world, especially our founding members and members for bringing SGC to life over the last 10 years. A private area is being created and shall be dedicated to you.
With Love and Gratitude.
