Inaugural Tasting of La Liberté - Blackstone, Mayfair
In the heart of Mayfair, within the refined setting of the Blackstone offices, SGC hosted the very first in-office tasting to mark the official London launch of La Liberté. Reserved for the firm’s partners and directors, the event was more than a celebration, it was the meeting of two worlds united by a shared devotion to excellence, precision, and vision.
SGC transformed the boardroom into an ephemeral terroir, where each guest embarked on a journey through two exceptional expressions: the 2020 Pomerol and the 2018 Médoc. The former, with its silky tannins and deep notes of black truffle and plum, offered an immediate sense of place, intimate and luxurious. The latter, structured and resonant with graphite and black currant, unfolded with quiet power and grace. Each wine was elevated by a curated culinary pairing, carefully designed to echo the elegance and tension within the glass.
This first chapter of La Liberté was not just about wine. It was a moment of alignment, between SGC and those who know that true distinction lies in the willingness to chart new territory. What began as a tasting became a quiet manifesto: the most extraordinary stories are born not from tradition alone, but from the audacity to reimagine it.
